Cedar Covered Bridge Park
Expect long downloads because of pictures

Cedar Bridge, built in 1883, burned in the fall of 2002. Through a ground swell of community support, funds were raised to rebuild Cedar Bridge.

The exact replica of Cedar Bridge was dedicated on Sat., Oct. 9th, 2004.

Cedar Covered Bridge remains as the only covered bridge that allows vehicular traffic.

Winter
Covered Bridge This park is home to one of the six remaining covered bridges in Madison County with Cedar Bridge being the only covered bridge that you can still drive your vehicle through. Dissected by Cedar Creek and surrounded by beautiful meadows, Cedar Bridge Park is passively managed as a simple day-use picnic area that caters to the many tourists that flock to see our Covered Bridges.
Although only 27 acres in size, Cedar Bridge Park probably receives the heaviest daily tourist traffic of all of our public areas with the peak season coming in the fall near Covered Bridge Festival weekend (2nd full weekend in October).

In May of 1993, Cedar Bridge Park hosted Oprah Winfrey when she aired her daily television talk show from the park as a means to promote a book that she dearly liked at the time which was entitled, “The Bridges of Madison County”.
