Volunteer

Whether you have a knack for gardening, working with kids, enjoy camping, or just like getting dirty, we can use your help!

Are you interested in conservation or just love spending time outdoors?

Interested in education or something to put on a resume?

Consider volunteering with the Madison County Conservation Board!

Opportunities vary seasonally but could include:

  • Assisting the Naturalist with Summer Camps
  • Weeding landscape beds
  • Removal of invasive species
  • Fundraising
  • Grant writing
  • “Citizen Scientist” presentations
  • Program speaker

We also accept donations for bird seed to keep the feeders out at the Bird Blind in Pammel Park stocked. If you are interested in any of these volunteer opportunities or have some ideas of your own, please contact us at 462-3536 or email at awarnke@madisoncounty.iowa.gov.
