Madison County Foundation

The Madison County Foundation for Environmental Education was founded in 1982 and was formed to promote conservation and environmental education in Madison County.

Over the last 27 years, MCFEE has funded hundreds of environmental programs, preserved wildlife areas, and updated park facilities.

MCFEE is a very vital part of environmental education and conservation in our county. All donations and proceeds generated by the Foundation are invested locally and used to finance County Park improvements, natural resource development projects and environmental education programming. Past projects range from purchasing playground equipment to taxidermy to use in education at the nature center.

Why support MCFEE? By supporting MCFEE, you will enable Madison County Conservation Board to expand environmental education into surrounding schools and communities.

Membership benefits include:

  • Free admission to sponsored events such as the Halloween Hike and other family and community programs
  • Quarterly newsletter
  • Opportunities to expand your knowledge and awareness of the environment and also to share your expertise and/or knowledge with our community
